Mount Pleasant FC is a thriving grassroots football club based in Batley, West Yorkshire, proudly serving the local community since 2002. We provide quality coaching and competitive football opportunities for players of all ages — from Under 7s through to our Open Age senior team.

Our Story — From Humble Beginnings

Mount Pleasant FC was established in 2002 in Batley, West Yorkshire, with a simple but powerful mission: to provide young people and adults alike with the opportunity to play football in a supportive, community-driven environment.

Over the years, the club has grown from a single team into a thriving multi-team organisation catering for youth and open age players. Our motto, "Akhlaq et Mehnat" (Character and Hard Work), reflects the values we instil in every player who wears our shirt.

The Journey of Mount Pleasant FC

Mount Pleasant FC was founded in 2002 by a group of dedicated volunteers who wanted to create a grassroots football club that would serve the Batley community for generations to come.

Growth and Milestones

What started as a single youth team has grown into one of the largest grassroots clubs in West Yorkshire, with over 375 registered players across multiple age groups. Key milestones include achieving FA accreditation, launching the annual Community Gala, and establishing a competitive Open Age team.
